Rajabali Shaidullaev, an undefeated featherweight fighter, has set his sights on a potential matchup with UFC champion Alexander Volkanovski. Following Volkanovski’s impressive victory over Movsar Evloev at UFC 333 in Abu Dhabi, Shaidullaev took to social media to commend the champion’s performance.
In his post, Shaidullaev praised Volkanovski, stating, “Congrats, Volk. That was a champion’s performance. An inspiration to the next generation.” He also expressed support for Evloev, encouraging him to return stronger after his first career loss.
Shaidullaev, who boasts an undefeated record of 20-0, has made a name for himself as one of the top featherweights outside the UFC. His latest victory came against former Bellator champion A.J. McKee at Super Rizin 5 in September. Currently, he holds titles in both Rizin and the Professional Fighters League.
Looking ahead, Shaidullaev is scheduled to face Kyoma Akimoto at Rizin’s New Year’s Eve event on December 31 in Japan. However, the prospect of challenging Volkanovski remains a significant goal for the Kyrgyz fighter.
